  • 'Does exactly what it says on the Tin'

    Nick 7 years ago

In my opinion nothing out there keeps the glass clean like a clearview stove. Whilst it maybe more air rich than some and not have world shattering efficiency ratings up against cheaper stoves... []

Stove expert replied: Feedback good and stove doing everything you want it to!

  • Vision 500 or Clearview Stoves

    Richard Seager 7 years ago

I have researched log burners for about a year now. I have looked at nearly all the makes and found that the build quality of the Clearview to be one of the best out there. The problem I find... []

Stove expert replied: Very informative review. Wood must always be dry and seasoned before being used, a moisture meter is ideal to insure for this.

Overpriced and overated-much better range was sourced from Stovax.

  • Adding back boiler

    John Green 7 years ago

First wood burner I have ever had and quite pleased with it but I am beginning to think I should have bought one with a back boiler so I could heat the hot water in winter anything to cut out... []

Stove expert replied: Some stoves can have back boiler added and it is worth checking your stove to see if this is possible.

Good stove lights easy, gives out plenty of heat,Wasn't sure about buying steel bodied stove after owning a Coalbrookdale Severn, but seems all in all a good stove (bit expensive to buy.) added... []

    Larsihasi 7 years ago

After having tried and tested many, many stoves in the market and pretty much all of the leading brands I had to complete my mission and bought the epitome of the 'English' stove a Clearview... []

Stove expert replied: It is refreshing to hear that a manufacturer exchanged the stove when a fault manifested itself, even if more than once!! Lets hope third time lucky!

  • Baffle is not robust enough

    Peter Hinde 7 years ago

Had my stove for about 4 years and in general very happy, but not happy with the state of the baffle which has sagged heavily and burnt away so that the flames go directly vertically and directly... []

Stove expert replied: Get the flue checked if the baffle is failing quickly, it may be due to an over-drawing flue system which can be rectified if causing a problem.
