Which? state on their website: We're currently not recommending Clearview due to the fact that it isn't, at time of writing, providing information on its website about whether or not its stoves meet new Ecodesign requirements. According to HETAS (Heating Equipment Testing and Approval Scheme), Ecodesign regulations require that performance information for stoves’ efficiency and emissions should be available for reference in marketing materials and/or retailers’ websites. This is currently not the case for Clearview.
If the Clearview stoves have not passed the Ecodesign tests, as required by law, then they may well have high particulate emissions. Other manufacturers have modernised their stove designs considerably in the last few years to increase their efficiency and reduce their emissions.
