  • Huge smoke problem

    Neil Turner 3 months ago

This and a flue liner replaced an old stove which worked fine. We use kiln dried logs and kindling. Fire starts easily from above but then smoke pours out of the stove . We have all windows
and doors open . Need to have door open wide for at least 15 mins to avoid this smoking but flames come out into the room

  • Corker of a stove!

    Pete Bell 11 years ago

This was recommended to me by an installer friend. It's beautifully well-made: stainless steel construction with a cast iron door. When another fitter installed it, he was adamant that it looked
more like an 8kw stove and indeed, the heat output is phenomenal. The stove oozes contemporary quality and the flame patterns are gorgeous through the lovely and big window. You can literally see the secondary air system cleaning the vermiculite bricks from sooty to clean and the glass window remains clean after many huge firings, so the air wash system works a treat. Priced sensibly, it's a quality Danish engineered stove from a company who seem to take the best ideas (single lever controlling air flow is so easy to use) from competitors and integrates them into their designs with care and precision. This is, a corker of a stove!

  • Excellent Log Burner

    James Donlevy 3 months ago

I''d always had a Morso 04, which I had good experience. After moving, my regular chimney sweep recommend a Heta 45. I had not heard of them. Anyway went ahead and had one installed. Superb
unit. Lighting upside down to me seemed odd, but now used to it. The glass keeps really clean and the log burning isn''t as ferocious as the Morso which is a good thing. The burn is much more gentle relaxed flame effect. I only burn Kiln Dried logs, so very clean burn. The ash (which burns down to talc powder consistency) only needs empting 4 to 6 days. Have to leave all the doors in the house open and it does a good job raising the house temperature. About 1900 sqft. Door handle never gets to hot for opening and closing when in use, even without a glove.

  • HETA 45S NOT WHAT IT SAYS ON BOX

    Dave Evans 3 months ago

Bit disapointed with the HETA, specifically wanted a multi fuel, which is how they sell it but its terrible at burning smokeless fuel just goes out when you speak to them they say its not reccomended
to burn smokeless coal in them so why advertise them as multi fuel !!!

  • A Good Choice.

    Michael Weeden 3 months ago

My chimney sweep recommended this stove and one was installed a week ago. It is absolutely fine, easy to light, burns well without smoke, easily supplements the gas central heating with +2-3
°C above room thermostat setting and has a good air control, keeping log use to a reasonable level. The HETAS installer advised against using solid fuel and does not consider it a dual fuel stove. One negative is the rotating ash riddle, which is clumsy to operate, it doesn''t clear much ash and would, in my view, be better designed if it was a reciprocating grid, but this apart, it''s a splendid product.

  • Excellent stove

    Keith Morley 3 months ago

Excellent build quality and amazingly efficient. Easy to light, it does need the door open but no problem with smoke enterring the room. Sounds like other reviewers with problems have poor flues
. Once it is up to speed there is no better stove.

  • Good with wood, hopeless with coal

    Luke Anderson 4 months ago

I was assured by the retailer that I bought my Heta Inspire 45 from that it was a multifuel stove. However the design of the grate is wholly unsuitable for burning smokeless fuel. The airflow
through the bottom is terrible. Cleaning the ash (and you get a LOT with smokeless fuel) is an absolute pain in the neck. That being said, if you intend to burn only wood, you''ll be fine. I think you can get better stoves for less money. The problem will be finding someone to fit it. Most stove installers seem not to want to fit stoves that have been bought from an online retailer and will only supply their own, or they will work for a supplier and fit stoves bought from those suppliers. Hence why I ended up with a Heta Inspire 45.

  • Disappointed

    Stuart Yeates 4 years ago

We previously had an x40 cube and it was much cheaper and better in many ways. The heta is easier to use and the glass always stays clean however it has some very bad characteristics. The most
annoying of which is the amount of smoke it releases into the room when you open the door to add fuel. Overall given the choice i would go back to the cube as it was hotter and did not stink the house out when the door was opened.

Stove expert replied: As withy all ecodesign stoves, the combustion chamber is fairly air tight, it is recommended to open the door slightly to reverse the pressure and allow the smoke/gases to go up the chimney.

  • Excellent stove

    Damian Tyrrell 6 years ago

Had my Heta Inspire 45 for about three years now and it''s been brilliant. I work for a chimney manufacturer so quite a few of my customers raved about it so I took the plunge and I''m glad
I did. Plus I''ll be honest I got it for a cracking price as well. It looks great with a large window, it''s easy to control and its burns beautifully. Oh, and for crying out loud don''t burn wet wood or house coal, neither your stove nor your chimney will thank you for it.

  • Love the design but clicks loudly

    Tracey Ross 7 years ago

I bought the Heta Inspire 45 stove as it''s ticked all the boxes in terms of quality in its stylish design, output and finish. I have been using it for just over a year and it continues to emit
a loud clicking noise, just about all the time, except for moments when it''s quiet for about 15 minutes - then clicks loudly again when either cooling down or after putting another log on.... I only burn dry and seasoned Ash and hardwood. From all the reviews I have read here nobody seems to have this problem! Yet I have read about this continuing clicking on other reviews. I wonder if it has a fault that can be fixed within the stove - and if so who do I contact?

Stove expert replied: It has been known that the metal expanding and contracting on a stove can cause a clicking sound, you would need to go back to the supplier / manufacturer for their advice.
