Esse 100 stove, page 4 of reviews
The Esse 100 is a 5 kilowatt multi fuel stove. It has 1 plain door with a big glass in it.
The Esse 100 is tall and wide but relatively narrow so you get a very large glass window with a relatively low heat ouput. The Esse 100 is therefore a good choice of stove where you want a big window but not too much heat or where there is a restricted depth of hearth.
The Esse 100 is made of steel and cast iron.
The Esse 100 SE version is approved for woodburning in smoke control areas.

Glass broke 2 minutes after lighting for the 4th time. Paint rubbing of door after 2 months. Door hinges stiff. Good heat output
wonderful heat output. looks stylish cross between modern and traditional. Takes good size logs. fire bricks have cracked? not tried to keep it in overnight.
Good screen size, found the inside a bit small but good for a smaller room. Would buy Esse again but bigger one.
We really wanted to like our British Made Esse, but we've been disappointed. The good points:It's a brilliant design and if you need to restrict your stove to a 5kw output to save having to put... [ read more ]
