Bought the stove on the internet from the company on 11/12/2007. It has been in regular use since then, and I am only now having to replace the fire grate....7 years later. Good value...good
service.. If we move I will be getting another unit from them. Remember, when you buy something new it will always take a time to get used to how it works. It doesn't mean its rubbish!!!

Bought this stove four or so years ago. For the price I'm extremely pleased with its performance. I'm on to my second set of new "innards" for it but it's a cheap option to having to spend five
times the amount on a more expensive stove. You only need the grate if you are using coal as logs prefer to be burnt on the floor of the stove and the thing likes to eat throat plates although I just remove it after it has buckled with no perceived ill effects. The innards seem to protect the structure of the stove very well as after a lot of use over four or five winters the box is still smoke tight. You can spend thousands on a stove but this little guy does the job at a fraction of the cost with good results over an extended period of time.

Stove expert replied: The baffle is there for a reason and should be replaced, you may damage the top of the stove if you use it without one!!If you are using household coal this may be leading to the baffle failures as this fuel burns with a much higher flame than smokeless fuels.

Purchased this stove, and fitted 1 month later, good heat output, but it blows smoke into the living room every time you open the doors to reload it with wood.Contacted country kiln, only to have
an abrupt email back stating its merely a box,and they have a fire that blows back depending on weather conditions? This shocked me as I was asking for advice, and basically was told only to light it when the wind's in the right direction! My advice, don't buy this stove, put the extra money towards a decent fire. I hope I've saved someone £300.00. I've owned many stoves over the years, from gas bottles to a Clearview, all work better than this one.

Stove expert replied: This sounds like a problem with the chimney rather than the stove. It might be worth speaking to a chimney specialist as usually this problem can be solved. Worth a try?

  • INGLEWOOD STOVE FROM COUNTRY KILN

DONT BUY FROM THIS CO, YOU CANNOT GET THE PARTS IE GRATE UNLESS YOU ARE PREPARED TO FORK OUT £100 PLUS £35 DEL, ALMOST HALF THE PRICE OF THE STOVE. THE STOVE IS TERRIBLY HARD TO LIGHT
, AIRWASH DOES NOT WORK AT ALL AND HAS NEVER STAYED IN ALL NIGHT YET. WE HAVE BEEN ON SOLID FUEL OVER 6 YEARS AND HAVE NEVER BURNT A GRATE OUT YET BUT THIS ONES GONE IN PROBABLY 7 MONTHS OF BURNING IN IT. CO ARE OK WHEN YOU ARE PURCHASING BUT QUITE RUDE AND ABRUPT AFTERWARDS. WISH WE HAD SPENT £50 MORE AND GONE FOR A WELL KNOWN BRAND
