We organised for our Hollywell 9105 to be fitted just in time for Christmas 2013. The difference felt in our poorly insulated early 30's house was immediate so much so that we're now about to... []

Had this stove for two winters now and can't think of a single thing we don't like about this stove. It lights so easy, glass stays clean. Burns very little wood. A handful of wood will keep... []

The only negative point is the airwash system, the glass requires cleaning every day prior to lighting, its a shame cos the flame pattern is very pretty but sadly obscured by a cloudy or sooty... []

Stove expert replied: Are you leaving he airwash control fully open and are the logs that you are burning dry and seasoned?

  • don't, let the stove out

    Helen Lees 5 years ago

The stove gives out a really good heat and made my house much warmer but the handle to open and shut it is always loose and the control underneath to let in more air comes undone from the back... []

Stove expert replied: Cold flues can make lighting a stove more difficult, using firelighters gets heat into the lighting fuel and will help to light a difficult stove.

After a lot of research opted for Burley Hollywell and we are all really pleased with the Stove in all aspects. At 5KW comfortably heats our living room, dining room and conservatory - in fact we have to leave the door into draughty hall way open to keep temperature bearable. Overall very good construction and our fitter (not an easy man to impress) was very complimentary on easy of installation and construction. The starter pack is a nice touch and the Hollywell is a much better looking than the pictures suggest. Had to contact Burley and enjoyed excellent customer service. Top tip for lighting the fire - follow the instructions included in the installers guide, much better than the quick start instructions. Hope that helps.... []

Having bought our first house we wanted to open up the chimney in the living room and install a woodburner. Being a typical male I spent a lot of time researching the various models and the... []

Stove expert replied: You may need to keep the controls open a little more to use all the fuel rather than being left with charcoal, it means that you will have a livlier flame to watch but more efficient to use all the wood.
