Review of Yeoman Exmoor stove

Yeoman Exemoor

As a first time owner of a log burner I didn't really know what to expect as regards output. All I was interested in was the aesthetic appearance in our newly built kitchen. 9 months later...just to give you an idea...my last gas bill for this period last year was for 2600kW hours of gas..this year..just under 600 kWh. I was told that it would heat the entire house...a 3 bed 1930`s semi...total rubbish, but it will take the chill off every room, so much so that we don't need the central heating on so often beings as our kids have now flown the nest. Very happy with the fire apart from one little niggle which I can live with...the airwash lever locks up when it gets hot so I have to set it as soon as I put a light to the fire.

Given its size and being its fitted with the multi-fuel kit, its impossible to shut it down so that it burns throughout the night no matter what wood I use but that is a small price to pay for the superb heat it gives off when well fired up. Can't recommend this log burner high enough. My kitchen is roughly 80 cubic yards in volume and if I leave all the doors open then the upstairs gets reasonably warm. Nuff said !!
