Review of Woolly Mammoth 5 Stove
Woolly Mammoth 5kw
Having brought a new Woolly Mammoth 5kw December 12th 2020 and for £399 pounds seems you get what you pay for, I found the quality quite basic, casing made from steel with a cast iron boor, The secondary air control and primary air control make very little difference when used to control the burn rate and the riddler control is very stiff to use if left fully in, After two weeks of small fires building up to full blown fires one of the side fire bricks broke, Manufacturers said "sadly Fire Bricks are classed as perishable" but are available only as a full set £46.95 including delivery. my conclusion is we should have paid a little bit more for build quality and maybe a better customer service.
Stove expert replied: It is common practise for the liners within the stove to not be covered under warranty, these are consumable and can be easily damaged. Liners can however be custom cut to save having to purchase a whole set from stove spare suppliers which is worth bearing in mind.
