Review of Woodwarm Fireview 6KW Flat top stove

Magnificent little fire

C. Cooper 12 years ago

We have had the 5Kw slimline version due to the need to save space. We had a 'Stone Art' Bath Stone fireplace in which to stand the new wood burner and the combination looks stunning.

This magnificent little fire keeps the room warm and if we leave the lounge door open the heat spreads throughout the house. Our central heating bills are considerably lower even with the steep increase in gas prices!

Unless it is really cold outside we let the fire burn out during the night but on the coldest nights we have bedded it down with a few smokeless brickets which keeps the fire ticking over until dawn.

The fire is incredibly easy to light with a few pages of newspaper and a little dry kindling topped with a couple of dry logs. Once the chimney warms up the fire can be turned down a little or to the degree of comfort required. Heat levels are very easily controlled and the airwash is extremely efficient.

I did a fair bit of research before making our purchase. Woodwarm are not the cheapest and certainly not the most expensive multi-fuel burners but you definitely get extremely good value for money!
