Review of Woodwarm Fireview 6KW Flat top stove

Woodwarm double saddle stove

N Sheldrake

This is the dirtiest stove we have ever had - we currently run three stoves and this fills the room with dust, the top rim of the burner is always covered in soot and is perfectly placed to catch your clothing when loading or rearranging the combustible material (normally moving from the back of the burner to the front-as described in operating instructions). The main problem appears to be the air vents located at the back of the burner at the bottom. They get covered in ash, so the process of opening the door causes a suction effect-pulling ash out into the room, inspite of having the side control vent wide open. The top front air vents in other units seem to perform much better, and obviously don't get the airflow ipeaded by being clogged with ash. This is a good looking stove that is well built but is a nightmare to own, unless you have a housemaid-!!
