Had the Westfire 23 installed just before Christmas and luv it.

We've already burnt through 3 cubic meters of seasoned logs so you can imagine how many times it's been fired up.

So easy to use my 11 year old son now gets it going with-in minutes.

Overnight burning doesn't seem to go well.

Wood burns almost too quickly even when the controls are turned to their lowest.

Is it OK to mix the wood with some lumps of coal or anthracite to max the burning time for an overnighter or will the temp damage the stove.

Stove expert replied: There is an option coal basket that can be added to this model which would allow for up to 20% of smokeless fuel to 80% wood being used. If the stove is burning too fast it would be advisable to get the flue draught checked as it may be too high and may need some control to regulate this.
