Throat hood melted
Used this stove with logs. By the end of the winter the throat hood had melted. The suppliers said that is normal wear and tear for the metal to melt. When we bought it no-one mentioned this. The rest of the stove is in good order but not happy to think we may have to replace this throat hood each year. I was under the impression that a stove was designed to have a fire lit in it and so should be able to withstand heat. The supplier has quoted over £100.00 to replace the damaged part. Had I have realised we would have this ongoing expense I would not have purchased this stove.
