Tiger Stove - excellent value for money

Andrew Topple 12 years ago

I have now had my Tiger for 4 years. We bought it for £199, knowing very little about stoves and it seemed like a good deal. We run it 24 /7 throughout the winter months. Running on smokeless fuel it will keep going for up to 16 hours if shut down and keeps the room nice and warm. Once opened up it gives off great heat and provides good heat throughout the house. We have a good draw on the chimney (which is not lined)and once you are used to controlling the fire with the air vent it can be done to great effect. Air wash is not great unless it has the air vent fully opened, but this is not an issue for me. Back firebrick has cracked and been repaired with fire cement. Overall an excellent stove, especially for the money.

Stove expert replied: Replace the firebricks if they do not stay in place or become thin thus not protecting the metal of the stove. Good review.
