Review of Tiger stove

Tiger Classic warranty

Martin Hammond 9 years ago

We bought our Tiger Classic back in 2009 and it was the first wood burner we've ever owned and it's more than paid for it self by bringing down our duel fuel bills over the years until this year. The only draw back with this stove is it eats up the fire bricks and throat plate nearly every year we have to replace them and the catch area where the door catches the main body won't tighten enough to allow the stove to dampen down even when the air wash is fully shut and now it's developed a crack in the top of the main body which brings me to the warranty part. The company who sold us the stove stated there was one a 12 month warranty and since we've had to buy another wood stove I've been finding out that these Tigers have a manufacturers warranty of 10yrs but there's no way of finding out and it seems no one is prepared to commit themselves over this which makes me feel everyone is happy enough to sell them but not go the extra mile on certain wood burners.
