I've had one of these stoves for a few years now with no problems whatsoever. Until now that is when for some reason the door is locked shut.

I did have it pretty hot with coal last night but other than that nothing different

The handle is working and moving the catch inside but it won't give at all - also I don't think its dropped at the hinges. Now contemplating smashing the glass as a last resort. Help!

Stove expert replied: As you can see the latch moving inside it seems strange that this is not releasing the door. Can you get into the fire box by disconnecting the flue to see if you can release the door rather than smashing the glass?
