Review of Tiger stove

Tigerstove 5kw defra approved cleanburn

This stove is exceptionally good value for money, it was easy to fit including a flexi flue liner, I took out the old gas fire and chimney and the stove fits in the hole with 200mm either side, it's easy to light, it burns coal and wood, wood isn't half as hot as coal, but if you get it down the woods for free who cares! The stove is well built and looks great once installed, the glass is easy to clean once the stove is cold, I use baby wipes and kitchen towels, I've owned the tiger stove since Dec 2012 and have used it daily, the only problem is the back fire brick has cracked slightly but not enough to replace, no other problems at all, a great stove, highly recommend

Stove expert replied: Wood should be 20% or less moisture content when used. The cracked fire brick should not cause any problems providing it is protecting the stove metal and should be replaced if it doesn't stay in place easily.
