Review of Tiger stove

All night

Chris Pease 11 years ago

This is our first wood burner and it was in our new home. We have been using it for a year now and on the whole it is great, we use a mix of wood and smokeless fuel but struggle to get the fire to stay in all night even if we put plenty of fuel on and shut the bottom vent and air wash completely ( we have a tiger + )

Stove expert replied: If it is a CB (Defra Approved, smoke controlled area version) model this is likely to be the case as the airwash will not fully close. This always allows a bleed of air into the stove so that the flue gases are cleaner and comply to the regulations.
