I love the look of this stove works well with smokeless but I have problems burning wood as there is no top airwash control that I can see this is my 1 st stove apart from the looks I am disappointed with the woodburning capability I don't want to change stoves after a couple of months I would value any help to get the woodburning side sorted out someone told me I should have bought a tiger plus any comments please I need help

Stove expert replied: CONTROL How fast the fire burns depends on how much air reaches the fuel. Move the air control slide below the window to the right for highest output, to the left for 'low'. Fuels which produce their own oxygen (such as some types of wood) or those which give off large amounts of volatile gas will be more difficult to control. ECONOMY Surprisingly, best economy is achieved with the firebox very full and the air control set to 'low'. The fire will burn much more efficiently than if you use 'little and often' and will need less frequent refuelling. Try alternative woods to see if it makes a difference as this often solves the problem.
