Review of Tiger stove
Tiger Multifuel 6kw
This is the first stove we have purchased and I have to say that it is very good value for money. I did lots of research before I finally decided on this stove and went for this one because the manufacturer has ISO accreditation.
I love the simplistic look of the stove and the panoramic view of the fire. I can't understand anyone who would want a little porthole type window on their stove as surely the fire is a focal point! The door handle does loosen itself quite regularly, but it's not a problem to tighten this up. Also, the ash pan could have done with being a little larger as it always needs emptying twice before another fire is set. We live in a 152 year old cottage, but this stove would look good in any situation. Heat wise it's brilliant and must be saving me a small fortune on gas as with the heat produced the thermostat which is in the kitchen reaches temperature a lot more quickly than it did when I had an open gas fire. I've quickly learnt that logs are great for flames and smokeless coal better for heat, but I like a mixture of both :-) Making the change from a gas fire to a multifuel stove was not something that I took lightly, but I have to say it's my pride and joy and I'd make the same decision again in a heartbeat. They are certainly more labour intensive than a gas fire, but I now have the maintenance down to a fine art. Looking forward to many happy years use from this purchase.- Be the first to comment
