Review of The Barrington 8kw

Chesney Barrington 8KW

Guy Payne 12 years ago

Terrible, the paint on our first door flaked off in 4 months, Chesney told me I had done something to the door and reluctantly replaced the door. Hey presto after 3 months of use the second door has flaking and bubbling paint on the door. The spray paint they provide for you to touch up you stove is not their own as they have a simply applied a cheap wrap around label to a standard can of spray paint that makes no mention of even being heat resistant!!!!!! The stove itself is very average-avoid.\n\n

Stove expert replied: it sounds like a batch of cast iron doors might have either been a little dusty or perhaps damp when they were painted. Various companies to provide 'white labelled' stove paint - there are in fact only a few manufacturers of stove paint but many more brands.
