Review of Stovax Stockton 8 stove

Brilliant stoves, 1/2 the price of a Clearview-and as good

Miss C. Thompson 11 years ago

Ummed and Aahed between the Clearview and this - found the Clearview company to be very rude and unhelpful when I asked a few questions and the dealer could not give me a delivery time - somewhere around 8 weeks, might be more?? So I chose the much cheaper Stovax. I have been delighted! It was in stock and so I had it fitted in a week - produces a fantastic amount of heat and I have had no glass discolouration issues, but my wood is very dry and well seasoned. A friend has the boiler version and reckons that the airwash does not work, so I took my wood over and it was fine. Trying to do too much with a poor fuel it did not work well at all, but she now knows and gets good, dry wood in.

Stove expert replied: Good seasoned fuel is a must to insure you get the best from your stove. This customer has found out how much difference it makes.
