Review of Stovax Stockton 7 Inset Convector stove
Performs OK, but there may be better ones
If you want an insert stove, this one looks lovely, and performs reasonably well if not excellent compared to Morso or Charnwood. My living room is about 3m by 5m, and this stove can provide plenty of heat for this room size provided there is a good filling of fuel, although this can mean a large volume of fuel. It does not seem like 7kw as stated, as heat is a comfortable heat for this room size. Airwash is adequate when on full, although browning in upper right corner is evident. Despite the fact that airwash needs to be on full, it does seem to burn most of the night. When burning smokeless fuels it will burn all night and longer.
Despite its niggling faults, I love this stove for its looks, its build, its fairly cosy, and overall it performs OK. If you are looking for an exceptionally good stove, you're probably better looking for Morso, Charnwood, Aarrow etc.- Be the first to comment
