Review of Stovax Stockton 5 stove

good little stove, efficient but making a noise?

Nathan Henderson 10 years ago

We have had our Stockton 5 for 3 weeks now and its working fine its a great little stove gets very hot heats our downstairs no problem. Just one problem so far in the last few weeks its developed a ticking noise when heating up or cooling down, I don't mean any ticking noise I mean a loud off putting 'TICK'. I know metal expands etc and can make slight noises but the stove never did this in the first week of having it at all. If it carries on I will be ringing Stovax or getting rid if it can't be rectified ! I wouldn't mind if it was making the noise at the beginning or the end when the fire is heating or cooling but it makes the noise very frequently upon any slight temperature change and its impossible to keep the fire going at the exact same temperature all the time! Help please! someone else must be experiencing this !! thanks
