Review of Stovax Riva 40 multi fuel

Riva 40

Bought this stove for its looks and style but have found it very difficult to clean out the ash from the stove. We are burning solid fuel and circular riddler is not very good at clearing the ash and therefore we are having problems with airflow. No way would this stove stay in overnight as we would never be able to get the draught to bring it back to life in the morning. Not tried logs on it yet but I'm sure that they will burn OK as although this stove is marketed as a multi fuel I'm not so sure that it is!!! Would buy this type again, would look for a stove with the traditional front to rear grate.

Stove expert replied: More air may help to maintain burn rate or try another fuel type which may produce less ash.
