Review of Scan Andersen 4-5 stove

Easy to use

JEM 12 years ago

Had ours fitted a few weeks ago. This is our first wood burner and we spent a lot of time looking at sites like this researching models. I had initially wanted a Charnwood Country model then a Heta Scanline 6 but was persuaded by the dealer to pay extra and buy this model as it is cast iron rather than steel. The build quality is excellent and it looks much better than the picture on this site.

I wasn't in when it was installed so missed the instructions on how to use it. Had a brief read of the instructions and got to grips with it in no time. Our fireplace is in a large kitchen diner and it heats it up a treat.

Stove expert replied: Don't forget the extra air requirements when a stove is fitted into a Kitchen, extra care must be taken on these installations to insure that enough free air is avialble for combustion to occur.
