Review of Scan Andersen 4-5 stove

Really don't know if this is attributable to the stove or not. Ashes which have entered the stove pipe settle back down on the stove's upper baffle, building up until they block the pipe entirely and smoke pours out of the stove's seams. Both dangerous and unpleasant, we've never seen such a poor design feature.

Stove expert replied: It is recommended that the internal baffle plate is lowered on a monthly basis and cleaned of debris that can fall from the flue system on all stoves, those that do not have this facility will be cleared by regular chimney sweeping or alternative access that is recommended in these circumstances. No time scale for the problem on this review has been given.
