i have been using it now for 5 full winters for house heat , i use small and meduim 12 inch peaces for fire too clearance too move also ileave 1 inch high and 2 inch wid front to back of ash this give air move ment under wood. start with poplar wood fast lighing always start from top of pile. hard wood next 3 year old DRY , POPLAR DRIES IN ONE SUMMER always cover from rain. Excellant cooking when you use metal riser for lowing temp for simmering for top use. Oven hotter on top so I use pizzia pan too lower that temperture and bakes nicely. yes the smokes comes out when reloading but open door slitely too ignite the wood if smoking this really makes a differants. Never hit 400 degee in oven yet , use more time . Great stove 350 model. sorry bad speller but God gave me insted macanical thought, lol. made scraper tool for sidewalls . large pce of wood only 1 will fit box with very small wood in front to help with cole contol but burns to nothing.
