Review of Morso Panther stove

MORSO Panther

Martin Cross 15 years ago

This is just one of the best things I have ever bought - I have said this for the past 6 years. The build quality is very high. Morso stoves are expensive but you get what you pay for. The fire is superbly controllable and very very economical (despite the large firebed). Usually start using firelighters, sticks and a small quantity of anthracite to get a good firebed than top up with 8 inch cut mixed dry soft and hardwoods and control on window airwash air. This keep the glass cleaner than most others I have seen in operation. A few logs will last for a full evening and produce huge quantities of heat - you may have to open the room doors!

The rotating grate riddling system is the only feature that is not so good - bu you can get the same effect much more easily using a poker. Spares are expensive.
