Review of Morso Badger stove

11 years old and still going strong

Stuart

Installed this stove in 2002. Use it almost every day for 6 months of the year and it's still working like new. Never needed any maintenance and the door closure is still perfect. I use it to heat a three bedroom house but I should explain that I have a very well insulated Norwegian kit house and a heat recovery and ventilation system. I had underfloor heating fitted when the house was built but never use it, finding that the stove can heat the house if I leave the sitting room door open.

The airwash is probably only average but I only ever burn well seasoned hardwood and the glass doesn't get too dirty. I can always see through it and never clean it. Never use the bottom vent and get fantastic control using the top vents only. Ash does fall outside the ash pan underneath but only a little and is easily removed with a dust pan.

It's a nice neat little stove and I would definitely recommend it. If it ever needs to be replaced (think I'll be long gone before it does), I will try and get another stove the same or a similar Morso.
