Review of Medium Country Franklin stove

Brass knobs for a reason!

John Nicholson 12 years ago

The brass knobs are not just cosmetic. When the fire is on, and you are on your knees tending it, it is all to easy to reach out and burn yourself on the hot upper surface.

However if you reach for the knob, burning yourself is unlikely. I have not burned myself on my Frankilin for over thirty years - although I did to begin with!

Could you recommend where i could buy replacement handles that would fit on this stove. Mine is about forty years old and some of the handles have twisted and/or ''melted'' away. I have looked at so many companies and spent money buying alternatives which didn''t fit so I would be interested if anyone has had more luck. thank you in advance for any input.
