Review of Lovenholm stove
Lovenholm 5kW - fighting to keep it alight!
I have been having a nightmare with this stove. I had measured the flue draught at 29 Pascals which hunters says needs to be between 10-26 Pascals. However it just will not stay alight, I have taken flue temperature readings and draught readings every 5 mins for 2 hours, used every type of fuel known to stove-kind and just can't get the flue temperature gauge above 150C 99% of the time I can get it to reach 100C then it just sort of fizzles out. The installer had a time getting it started too, took him 50 mins, I have used lots of stoves before and no problems. I am genuinely puzzled by its poor performance. As other reviewers have mentioned - you need to open the tertiary vent at the back fully to get any hope of getting this one going. Really disappointed.
Stove expert replied: Is the flue system lined, is there enough air in the room, is this in a kitchen where an extractor can prevent a good draw? It sounds like an installation problem but an on site investigation would seem a good way forward from a chimney specialist.
