had this fire installed about 3 years ago now, and generally found it very good.

kicks out good heat and is very controllable.

we burn both wood and smokeless fuel, we do find that the fire often struggles to keep alight after about 6 pm, if we add wood that helps keep it going. also used to struggle with anthracite alone but mixed with homefire ovals or similar and that helps no end.

Stove expert replied: When the temperature drops outside it this when the stoves performance gets problematic? Worth investigating this more so that you can operate the stove at any time with ease.
