Review of Lovenholm stove
OPEN THE REAR VENT BEFORE INSTALLING! (Great Stove)
I really like this stove. We've got this and a morso and while I love the morso for the fit and finish this one is so simple and built like a tank. I keep the door cracked for the first 20mins then close and put the primary vent closed with the top vent about 30% from the left.
One huge thing to note that I see others have pointed at is the back vent comes closed from new. This IMO needs to be opened. The difference it makes is huge. We had to get round the back of ours after the install but it was worth the effort. The difference in the way it burns is so much better once the back vent is open. Anyone having trouble with the burn on this stove should make sure that's open. Its below the optional flue hole at the back. Its like a quarter semi circle piece of metal. You may have to loosen the screw to turn it. Once you do it will reveal a couple of inch long rectangle intake which will then allow for the holes above the wood to draw air. It should come from the factory open IMO. Hope this helps some people. Also for those new to stoves, make should you use a decent stack of kindling. I think the biggest beginner mistake is being shy on the kindling. You want a decent bed of embers for a decent fire. Superb stove. Rock solid and burns superbly (once rear intake is open).- Be the first to comment
