Review of Lovenholm stove

Nice looking stove, but disappointing heat output and lack of flames

This is a nice looking stove (modern, but not too funky). However, we are disappointed with the heat output and lack of flames. In order to see any flames whatsoever, we have the leave the door open otherwise, at best, we have a slight glow. This is the case whether burning wood or smokeless coal and, if we even close the vents slightly, the fire goes out. The stove never gets that hot - we can easily touch the top of it for a few seconds. I wonder if it is related to the flue, which has been newly installed. Perhaps it takes a few weeks to warm up? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Stove expert replied: I would certainly get the installtion checked thoroughly, it may be that the flue draw is poor and hence the need of having the door open to keep it alight. Have you got an air vent in the room?
