Review of Langdale Stove

Disappointing

Karen Furley 6 years ago

Have had this stove a year now. On the plus side it looks great BUT it is SO difficult to clean and it NEEDS to be cleaned after each and every burn. The airflow is fine as we paid extra to have a direct vent pipe installed from the outside directly to the stove. It improved (it was a disaster without it) but I still can''t recommend it. The worst bit is we were told the Langdale had an airwash system (well.....don''t believe everything you''re told). The most annoying thing is the grate inside is completely fixed and static making cleaning so fiddly. The side grates sit so close to the glass one must devise an implement (smaller than a toothbrush) to chivy in-between grate and glass. They stupidly are not removeable so each and every clean is a chore. I burn only wood and it is well seasoned and dry.
