Review of Klover Smart 80 wood pellet cooker

Brilliant

The Klover Smart 80 replaced a Stanley Solid fuel stove. It was a lot of work keeping the Stanley going as I used a mixture of coal and wood in order to get the rads hot enough. Had to empty ashes at least once a day and the house was full of dust. The Klover on the other hand needs ash emptying once a week and produces plenty of heat to power 12 rads as well as hot water. It is also programmable so instead of having the Stanley on all the time to keep the house warm the Kover comes in by itself in the morning before we get up. It lights itself automatically and is much cleaner to run than a Rayburn or Stanley. The hotplate on the top will keep food simmering and boil a kettle but of course it only works when the stove is on. You couldn't use the Klover 80 as your main cooker and this model doesn't have an oven. However it is the most brilliant piece of kit and looks good in our traditional farmhouse kitchen. The pellet hopper holds enough for a winter's day fuel.

Running costs are quite a bit lower than previous Stanley and Rayburn. I reckon to get through 3.50 tons of pellets in a year approx £750. Even cutting my own wood with the Stanley it was costing the wrong side of £1000 with the added coal. The Klover has transformed our lives!
