Review of Klover Smart 120 wood pellet cooker
Surpassed all expectations so far
We are building a house and have been living in one part of it for 18 months now. Our Smart 120 went in a year ago and we can tell you the story so far.
We've been using the Smart for hot water for the last year but aren't cooking on it much yet. We are now using it for direct hot water and to run the underfloor heating to dry out our newly plastered walls. My husband does cook a perfect bread roll each day in it - he used to do the same in a brand new Aga (previous house), but the results in the Smart are actually better! Even though the Aga is notorious for not drying out food like a convection oven, the Smart is even better and regarding bread baking, seems to work almost like a steam oven. Other than that we've only done scrambled egg, boiled a few kettles and cooked the odd casserole - we've found it very quick and responsive. The oven looked like it might be quite narrow, but that is deceptive - it is actually narrow at the front but deep and every one of my pans fit into it, albeit sideways on. I am a very ambitious cook and intend to put the Smart through it's paces. Although I think we will use the large cooking space on the top for most cooking, which because we had the AGA, I hadn't done for years. Looking forward to it. Other than that? The flame is lovely to look at and having a programmable wood burner that heats all of the hot water we might need and that we can cook on is brilliant.Stove expert replied: Great review.
