Make a good stove even better

I've had this stove 15 years, use it from October to March on average every year and its still as good as the day I brought it. I've found in the last few winters that if I stand an extractor fan on the floor at low level blowing underneath the stove into the alcove as the air blows underneath then up the stove sides and across the top it draws the heat making the stove a lot more efficient. So I now get a lot more heat from my stove than I used too and it needs less wood to achieve it because its that much more efficient.
