  • Sizeable, but a bit flimsy and lacks control.

Puts out a fair amount of heat and can be loaded up with long logs. Unfortunately the air vents underneath are pretty tiny and even when open full bore the fire doesn’t roar away as much
as other big woodburners do. When closing the vents down the fire doesn’t settle down too well. It sucks quite a lot through the door. The fire rope seal is really thin and the clasps holding the glass are small and flimsy. So big wisps of deposits build up on the glass where it leaks through. The cast iron is thin and the stove doesn't feel very solid as a result. For the size it’s still good value, but it’s a shame they cut corners.

Stove expert replied: If the stove is sucking in air round the seals I would have expected the stove to be roaring away but you say this is not happening. Further investigation on the installation as a whole is recommended.

We bought this fire in France in a sale for 850 Euros which at the time worked out at about £720. We have been very pleased with the overall performance. The fire stays in overnight without
any problem. On the downside the slide air control is a bit stiff and the airwash system at the bottom of the glass is lacking because of the front grate bar. Make no mistake this is an excellent fire which will heat the largest of rooms
