I have a herald 14 in my house and when I open the doors to refuel you are choked with smoke. The chimney has been lined. How close should the throat plate be to the top of the stove? have looked at two other 14s and they are both different? can someone help pls

Stove expert replied: The manual should give you further assistance on where the baffle plate fits inside the stove. The downdraught may be due to a poor draw on the chimney, no air brick etc Ask you installer to check the installation.
