Review of Heta Inspire 45 stove
Not as good as expected
I have a tall, lined chimney with a good draft but found this stove tricky to light. It needs a lot of TLC and goes out if not nutured carefully. Although wood is dry and well seasoned with a m/c of 10-15%, heat output is indifferent and some days will not get hotter that 300/400C. Very poor draw even when burning with the door cracked open all evening. Badly needs secondary air input via bottom of stove. I'll be replacing this stove next season for a multi fuel cast iron stove. Anyone want to buy it?
Stove expert replied: Is there enough free air in the room? Have you an air brick? Is there another flue system in the property that may be stronger than the one used for this stove causing the problem? Seek advice from a flue specialist prior to getting this stove replaced as there may be a way to improve the existing performance, and what is to say that replacing it would mean the same issues still being experienced? More likely to be installation problem rather than the stove itself.
