Airflow handles loose

Linda Scarce 10 years ago

Great stove, fitted two years ago, kept us super warm all through the snow last year- 28 degrees in a 10x7m room with doors to the rest of the house open! We only ever burn seasoned wood or off cuts etc.

Only concern is that the airflow controls at the bottom of the doors are not that tight, and therefore allows more air than needed, so we have never managed to keep the fire in overnight. Would tighten them, but they are welded solid.

Occasionally we have had troubles with smoke coming back into the room when lighting, but we think that may be a wind direction problem

We fitted a damper to the flue, and it made a huge difference to heat output while reducing fuel consumption .

Otherwise, we love it
