Review of Firefox 8 stove

Is my Firefox 8 a clean burn?

Barry Gallagher 11 years ago

The stove is great!

My only concern is there is no way of telling if I have the DEFRA clean burn version. The plate on the side of the stove only says GALLERY CLASSIC 8' as does the manual. No mention of clean burn or defra. The manual does say its version 5.2.

Is there any way I can tell if is the clean burn version?

Thank you

Stove expert replied: The air wash lever on the clean burn does not fully shut off the air, there is always a bleed of air that goes into the stove. You may be able to see this when you move the lever.
