Review of Firefox 8 stove
delia casey October 05, 2012 fire fox 8
I have just read your review, I have recently bought this fire 22 Dec 2012 and my back brick has also cracked last night, I have spoken to a few people and this seams to be a common fault with this fire, as I have read a few stores of this going a few times, one person says your to cement them in to stop it cracking but its not some thing I would want to do, as if it was meant to be it would come that way! I haven't run it through the night so I dont really know what its like but I am now with out heat in this very snowy cold weather trying to chase a new fire brick not good !!!! The manufactures should sort the problem out, as it seams to be a common fault, that's reoccurring.
Stove expert replied: A cracked liner does not prevent you from using the stove providing it is protecting the metal of the stove and staying in its place, a small amount of fire cement on the face will help to secure it needed.
