Review of Firefox 8 stove
Firefox 8
Bought my firefox 8 as I was advised it would keep our lounge toasty, the bedrooms and the small office where I work warm.
Initially the stove was amazing and we thought we going to boil even though it was well into minus figures outside. Bought it in October, we seem to have the same issue as a previous reviewer our back plate has cracked, yes we are careful what we burn, kiln dried logs and a bit of coal the ovals. We have a temp gauge on the flue and aim to burn a good clean fire as we were advised to do. Since the back plate has cracked it just doesn't seem as warm anymore and I am having to close the lounge door to warm the room and not leave it open as advised we would need to be doing. Does the broken plate affect the heat output ??? or can anyone advise what could be wrong ???.Stove expert replied: What do you mean by the back plate, the indie back liner? Has anything else changed to cause a reduction in heat output? Change of fuel or wood supplied.
