Review of Firefox 8 stove

fabulous firefox

Have had this Firefox 8 since March 2009 and am delighted with it, the house is warm and cosy and have managed last 3 winters without having to use the central heating, 3 bed semi type house - bills were very high before when using gas, now I can't believe how cheap it is to heat my home, the draw on this fire is fantastic and it is easy to light and to control. Have tried wood and coal on this fire - coal burns a treat and lasts ages when mixed with the wood. This fire takes good size logs and stays in overnight when banked up before going to bed - even neighbours have commented about the warm walls in their bedrooms generated by our fire. Could have had the Firefox 5 but decided on the Firefox 8 and have been delighted with it and would certainly recommend it.

Have had chimney swept a couple of times but apart from that no maintenance hardly needed for this fire apart from a clean and touch up with paint once or twice. Everyone who visits our home cannot believe how hot it is and that the heat generated is just from the Firefox 8.
