Review of Firefox 5 stove

Firefox 5 Multifuel

We've had our stove in for about 2 months, heats our large-ish living / dining room up great. \nSo far I've found compressed sawdust logs (Hotmax) much better than dried logs - very controllable and good heat output. \nHad some tatty chipboard boards which I took out my loft, sawed them up and they did okay for a little while.\nKindling seems an expensive buy, I think it's much cheaper to buy logs and chop them up with a hatchet.\nWindow gets covered in muck and the door hinge pins sometimes try and work their way out - you can end up with the door hanging off in your hand.\nAs it was much cheaper (> £200) than all the other stoves we were looking at I can forgive it's small faults, it's generally been grate. \n \n

Stove expert replied: Reasonable review but door hinge problem could be dangerous if unaware of this fault!
