Review of Firefox 5 stove

Firefox 5.1 Cleanburn

We had this stove fitted 2 years ago, we burn both coal and wood on it. Throws out some really good heat and warms the rooms up very well. It looks good but I have to say I''m disappointed with Firefox. About a year ago an hairline crack appeared in the top plate of the stove body. As it has a 5yr guarantee I contacted them. There response was we''ll send you a new top plate but we''re not paying for the fitting! Also, getting spares for them can be a little difficult.

Stove expert replied: Spares are freely available so I am surprised that you have experienced difficulties. Warranties will replace faulty parts but do not normally cover their fitting, this is quite a standard practise. Do make sure that you operate the stove at the correct temperature - perhaps a stove thermometer would be advisable to prevent similar from happening again.
