Great stove for the money

Belinda Maddox 11 years ago

We had this stove installed a couple of months ago by a HETAS engineer, into an unlined chimney in a Victorian terraced house. We had a cowl installed on the chimney.

Although we got the multi-fuel version, in practice we want to use only wood. We bought some seasoned wood to last us for this year, but after that have scavenged and are drying it ourselves. We wanted the ability to be 'off-grid' in a small way.

We are delighted with this little stove and are thinking of buying another for the sitting room. It will still be full of glowing embers in the morning and is not hard to start again if necessary.

The airwash works well, occasionally the door will soot up slightly but is easily cleaned with a damp cloth and ash, and polished with newspaper.

Would definitely recommend, especially for a smaller room.

Stove expert replied: There are larger versions available for higher outputs / larger spaces.
