Review of Firefox 5 stove

Firefox 5 CB Great little Stove

John Walsh 12 years ago

Have had this stove fitted in my cold conservatory in October 2012, We are so please with it we have regained the use of a room that we would normally shut off in winter.

It was Brilliant being able to sit in my conservatory with 8" of snow on the ground outside.

We are now seriously thinking of having one of these fitted in our living room.

We have no real big issues with the burner, the top door hinge pin works its way loose very slowly but a gentle tap returns it home.

We use dry wood which I check with a moisture meter and good quality Smokeless fuel which burns cleanly and gives off good heat, we have quite a big house but if you leave the conservatory door open the burner does output quite a lot of heat into the downstairs rooms, cutting down on the need for central heating.

Since having the stove fitted our TV watching at night has been reduced drastically.

We did carry out quite a lot of research using this site and others before opting for the Firefox, and we are glad that we did not go for a more expensive stove, we are spending the money we saved on fuel.

Hope you get as much enjoyment from you stove.
